A large machine for large offices, the Canon CLC-950 will fit the needs of those looking for a color laser copier capable of producing up to 20,000 copies each month. With a big frame of 29x39x30 inches, you will find this unit to be much larger than a lot of the competition. Heavy and robust, the CLC-950 weighs 530 pounds which won’t be easy to move under any circumstance. When you can find a machine that does the same things that weighs 20 pounds and has dimensions that are half as big, it’s a little hard to believe anyone would want this outdated, massive machine. When you take a peek at everything it is capable of, though, it’s easy to understand.
Automatic duplex printing is built-in, making this unit is a significant upgrade from its predecessors. It is very easy to maintain using only four Canon CLC-950 toner cartridges, and each is filled with its own color- black, cyan, magenta or yellow printer toner. Each Canon CLC-950 toner cartridge will last about 4,500 pages before it needs to be replaced. These last a decent amount of time and can create resolutions that will create professional prints. The only real problem this copier has is its slow speeds. When copying in black-and-white, it’s not so bad at 18 pages per minute, but when printing in color, it is a very slow 7 pages per minute. This will more than slow down offices with color needs.
Like many laser copiers on the market, the cost of maintenance may seem overwhelming to many users. However, there is an easy fix for that—remanufactured Canon CLC-950 toner. These toners will last the same amount of time as the OEM versions and will exude the same high quality. What’s the difference? Remanufactured printer toner is only a fraction of the price.
